I find myself in an administrative maze that may make sense to anyone born into it but to a foreigner seems completely impenetrable! Maybe it was with a sense of foretelling that I choreographed Act 1 of Constructions of Thin Air. I am stuck in my own creation as a stranger – a witness to the running of an intricate system in which everyone has their specific place, knows their part (but not necessarily that of anyone else or the bigger picture); a mysteriously functioning machinery that only those inside it may (or may not) understand.
