Experiment 49/ Maresa von Stockert are looking for contemporary dancers and physical theatre performers for a project that combines contemporary dance, short film, visual art and object manipulation.

In the context of the new creation Come and Gone, we would like to meet performers based in France with whom we wish to collaborate on this long-term project. We want to particularly encourage artists living in the region of Pays de la Loire to apply.

Our aim is to bring together a diverse and intergenerational group of artists from a variety of backgrounds. We are looking for contemporary dancers and physical theatre performers who are open-minded, and beyond their expertise in contemporary dance and improvisation, are keen to explore movement in physical dialogue with objects, sites, indoors, outdoors, and on film. The project focuses on the creative and physical experimentation with everyday movements and gestures inspired by the themes of the work.

Application process:

We have taken the unusual decision to organise the auditions as well as rehearsal and film schedule in a flexible manner, in order to find and bring together an intergenerational group of artists that complement each other and correspond ideally to the needs of our project.

Approximate timelines:
Auditions from early October followed by 5 – 10 days of work in autumn 2022 (first phase of the project).
