Dominique Petit has a long career as a dancer, choreographer and performer. He has performed at major festivals (Avignon, Biennale de Lyon, Montpellier danse, Dance Umbrella, Hamburg, American Dance Festival, Havana, Oz Asia…) in his own works or with Paul Sanasardo, Carolyn Carlson, Caroline Marcadé, Régine Chopinot, Régis Obadia and recently with Akram Khan.
He has developed an innovative improvisation technique and is regularly invited to give masterclasses at renowned French institutions.
In summer 2023 a documentary on Dominique Petit’s improvisation technique was filmed at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers, directed by Julie Charrier.
He started working with Maresa von Stockert in autumn 2023.
