Much of my recent work has been about departures and arrivals… Like the pictured performer Stephen Rowe (in the research film project I conducted in 2019) , I find myself right in the middle of a mess of boxes and suitcases. Half here, half there, in a moment of transition – exciting and daunting at the same time! Drowning in memories yet curiously looking forward to an unknown future, I am leaving behind my London home in the process of moving all my belongings to my ‘new home to be’ in France.
